|Typical Work Conditions:||
Outside and inside a hangar. The majority of the work is performed in hangars; however, some exposure to extreme cold weather, dirt, dust, sprays, fumes, and electrical hazards is possible.
|Other Requirements:||While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift, crouch, and reach while handling materials and chemicals. The employee is occasionally required to carry items, push, pull, climb, stoop and kneel. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs|
|Job Description (Position Summary and Essential Functions):|
The Aircraft Mechanic Helper will work on an on-call basis two to four times a month mainly on weekends. They will be configuring the aircraft for wash, washing C-17/E-3 aircraft, lubricate the landing gear and flight controls and reconfiguring the aircraft. Must be detail oriented. Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Must be reliable, punctual and able to obtain a secret security clearance. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
