Colonel Jimmy E. McMillian, Commander 10th Airbase Wing, USAF Academy, presents the
“Outstanding Performer” Award to Mr. Stephen Hybki, Doss Aviation Debrief/Analysis Section
DOSS AVIATION EMPLOYEE RECEIVES AF ACADEMY RECOGNITION
During a random U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) Security Forces anti-terrorism exercise in October 2008, Doss Aviation employee Steve Hybki identified a “suspicious package” that had been placed between two buildings near the flight line. “Steve did everything right,” according to Colonel Jimmy McMilliam, 10th Airbase Wing Commander, during a ceremony held at the base. Hybki reacted immediately to the suspicious package by keeping everyone out of the area. He then made the appropriate notifications to USAFA Security Forces personnel.
Col McMilliam added, “His recognition reminds us that we are all part of the USAFA “security team”, and we are proud that Doss Aviation is an active and effective player.” Hybki said, “The fact that we work on an active military installation makes Doss employees an important part of the military’s anti-terrorism efforts. Everyone should have a suspicious eye for anything that looks out of the ordinary and report it to the proper authorities. That’s all that I did, but I’m appreciative of the Air Force’ recognition.”
Hybki works in the Maintenance Debrief/Analysis Section of Doss Aviation’s contract that provides maintenance to the aircraft assigned to both the Academy and Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs, CO supporting cadet flying training programs.
