Doss owns and maintains a fleet of 20 Diamond DA-40 aircraft in support of the Powered Flight Program (PFP) at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado, and flight operations are conducted by USAFA assigned pilots. The PFP is used to provide USAFA cadets an opportunity of experiencing the challenges and excitement of powered flight while motivating them to decide whether they want to pursue a flying career in the US Air Force. Upon graduating from the Academy, newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenants, who have successfully completed PFP, are then sent to our Initial Flight Screening (IFS) Program at Pueblo, CO. Aircraft maintenance is accomplished by Doss personnel in compliance with FAA Repair Station Certificate requirements and government regulations.
