Doss Supported Contract Receives Recognition from the American Petroleum Institute

The American Petroleum Institute (API) recently recognized the base fuels operation at Naval Air Station Jacksonville as runner up in the Category II Naval Retail Fuels Terminal for excellence in fuels management.   The annual award is presented in recognition of outstanding performance and contributions to the fuels mission during the calendar year 2008.

“This is the second time in the last four years we have been so recognized.  This could have only been accomplished by the knowledge and dedication of Doss Aviation employees.  These employees deserve the appreciation and acknowledgement for their continued professionalism,” said Andrew Sullivan, Contracting Officer’s Representative at Jacksonville.

Doss Aviation, Inc. has provided fuels contract management at the Naval Air Station since April 1998.  The contract provides for along-side aircraft refueling and day-tank fuel storage management.  This contract supports the Defense Energy Support Center, an arm of the Defense Logistics Agency.  The API is an internationally recognized trade organization for the petroleum industry.  It sets standards and provides direction for all aspects of petroleum production, refining, measurement, and fuel handling.
